26 1 ReplyYeah. Playing and recording uses the same mechanism in a VCR. Writing uses a different method but it would be on the second tape. Unless you tried to record over the tape which I don't think works on non-recordable anyways.

These things actually work. I once tried to copy a KTC protected VHS and it ended up breaking my cd drive beyond repair
