The Goulet Pen Company has released a video response to the recent allegations regarding their church affiliation and views of the LGBTQ+ community.
"No, we're actually the totally victims here because we've been misunderstood, and you should feel bad about it because we now say we're hurt and confused!"
No self-reflection whatsoever. Yeah, get fucked.
I had no idea who these people were before the drama started and I'm positive I've never given them one thin dime. But all the above has managed to accomplish is getting me to make a point of ensuring that I avoid their business in any guise it may take now or on the future.
This didn't feel right as a genuine apology. It's not quite at the "I'm sorry if you feel offended" level but it seems a bit slippery and evasive to be genuine.
Ya it's very much a PR statement to address the drama but not the core issues. Especially since they decided to downplay the facts.
