Censor-ception! Reddit user's post in r/place about admin censorship, is taken down, so they made a 2nd post about the 1st post being taken down, which was also taken down...
Have you guys noticed how comparatively "clean" r/place is, in comparison with older iterations? It's almost like someone is trying to clean the canvas. Even the void is well-contained.
"Suddenly" all those "fuck spez" were replaced with random drawings. Did protesters "magically" disengage?
People (cough the admins cough cough) seem to be rather opposed to "fuck spez" in English, but curiously leaving "spez ist eine H*rensohn" (in German) alone, even if it's practically the same message (or a bit worse). Perhaps because the admins are a bunch of monolinguals? (For comparison, look at the Russian version of the first article of the BRD - people were damn quick to replace it with an Ukrainian one. Guess how many DE vs. UA speakers there should be in Reddit.)
Huge flags of relatively small countries that wouldn't be able to hold control over huge areas of the canvas. Portugal, Ireland, the Balkans countries, Switzerland, Morocco, the Scandinavian countries... even if those had a disproportionally large amount of basement-dwelling nationalists, it's hard to believe that the users from those countries are doing it.
My point is that people are underestimating admin meddling in r/place. It's likely way, waaaay worse than it looks like.
I'll give you everything but the flags, lots of people see a flag being built and help out, or in the base of Ireland you have plenty of "Irish" people in New England that would build the flag.
Honestly, it’s all bots. Germany posted their bot so others can have access. Morocco is all bots. France is all bots, Bluey is all bots and a streamer. It’s honestly ridiculous. I signed into my old discord that was connected to an r/place server. The only way to get your art up and keep it up this year is to have a bot army.
Reddit admins aren't any better than Reddit mods. Who would've thought?
I hope this continues to backfire, that whole site & company needs to burn to the ground.
Mods at reddit worked within a framework from admins. It wasn't totally free form. Also mods there are just users who clicked a button. This edgy crap about "mods bad durrr" is just dumb and you should be ashamed, every forum has mods including this one.
Except that only on Reddit I got constantly banned for the absolutely dumbest shit.
Speak out against predatory FOMO tactics in video games? Perma ban (after getting attacked & insulted by other users, who didn't even got the comments removed). Speak out against that exact reddit bullshit that people are now up in arms about, including a bunch of mods? Yeah, that's a perma ban because you are probably doing ban evasion or something. Speak out against dehumanization? Yep, you guessed right. That's a perma ban. See? Just as stupid as Reddit admins banning me for saying that a fascist Italy should be kicked out of the EU & NATO. Mod abuse is real and you should be ashamed for defending & excusing it.
