Arizona State and UC San Diego will begin requiring climate courses this academic year. Columbia, Harvard and Stanford are going even further, creating schools devoted to climate change.
No, no, no. Every non-degree mandatory class gets minimal care. If a climate change course is required, in most cases it's going to be taught by someone that doesn't care and rubber stamps grades.
It's not going to teach anyone anything, but cost everyone time and money.
Even a number of core gen ed classes are getting rubber stamped, the chicano/AfAm studies are getting rubber stamped and considered a joke.
