Her son died of an overdose in his dorm room. Where was the Narcan?

  • You know, I bet if we tried real hard, we could think of other ways of preventing overdoses that doesn't put the blame on the lack of a last resort in arms reach. That's a real slippery slope. "There was no narcan." "The narcan wasn't in the room." "The narcan hadn't been refilled since the last person." It's just going to be a never ending list of reasons someone can blame literally anything else. We need to fix the opioid problem. In the mean time, sure, put narcan on the campuses, but you can't just blame a lack of narcan for your loved one's overdose. I bet there were a few other things that could have happened on the way down to prevent it.
