Biscuit Basin in Yellowstone National Park has been closed following a massive hydrothermal explosion Tuesday morning, according to the National Park Service.

No other monitoring data show changes in the Yellowstone region. Today’s explosion does not reflect a change in the volcanic system, which remains at normal background levels of activity," according to Yellowstone National Park.
Considering it’s a freaking super-volcano….
…. That’s a bit of a relief.

Wow that explosion is pretty intense. My brothers and I joked about that when we were there back in the 90s.
