Alabama Republicans, despite Supreme Court ruling, reject call for second majority Black House district
Lawmakers must adopt a new map after the high court in June affirmed a three-judge panel's ruling that Alabama’s existing congressional map likely violated the Voting Rights Act.
I'm sure they'll eventually do what's right and legally-mandated.
So if I have this right, they submitted a new redistricted voting map, the supreme court said, "No that's illegally drawn." And now the Alabama Republicans just said, "🤷♂️ were using it anyway."
Isn't this also what Ohio Republicans said, too? If it ain't broke, don't fix it, I guess. :insert angry scowl emoji:
