Guess there is an argument to be made for the increased power and torque being a bad thing, together with the extra weight of battery packs EV's do cause a lot more wear and tear of the road surface. But I highly doubt it offsets the pollution created by ICE's.
10 second refueling for my EV. I just plug it in when I get home and it’s full when I get up in the morning. I don’t have to go stop at a gas station at random times when I realize the tank is almost empty. And 250+ miles is far more than I ever drive on an average day, so that overnight charge is more than enough.
When I do occasionally drive further I’m more than happy to take a 20 minute driving break while fast charging in order to hit a bathroom, grab a bite to eat, etc.
1 trip a year taking an extra hour is not going to happen for most families, much less my personal travel. You are deluding yourself thinking most people are okay with spending 20 minutes at a charger (assuming there's no wait). You can't handwave it away.
