First boomer shooter that held mine to completion all the way through. I tend to have trouble navigating them and get lost frequently. The signposting in this one was great. Sometimes with literal signs, sometimes with creative use of colors and lighting. Since I played on game pass I'll probably pick this up.
My experience was quite the opposite, and I’m old enough to have played the first FPSs in their heyday.
I got lost all the time, couldn’t figure out which way to go, and quit the game in frustration about a third of the way through. I really wanted to finish it for nostalgia's sake, and I really love arcade WH40K stuff.
Game’s aesthetics and feeling is tremendously well, by the way.
I wish Boltgun had held my attention like I wanted it to. I really loved it and want more but the loop didn't remain as fresh as I'd wished. Maybe this DLC can do that and if I'm lucky they might expand the Boltgun series beyond Ultramarines who frankly get a way oversized slice of the IP attention.
