The Bear, season 3 (2024, showrunners Joanna Calo and Christopher Storer)
It’s a losing battle every day in the restaurant business, and as Carmy pushes himself harder than ever and demands excellence from his crew, they do their best to match his intensity. Their quest for culinary excellence propels them to new levels and stresses the bonds that hold the restaurant together.
The series has been so unapologetically accurate to my own IRL culinary past (from the area, trained in EU, etc.), there were even certain sections of it I found myself having to scan through just to finish the episode without shaking and/or tearing up (fuck you, Christmas ep, ferreal). Still, I'm coming back for Season 3 — if only to hope Carmy doesn't fuck up his love life like me. I mean, c'mon, man. FFS.
