Scheduled maintenance 11/12th of May for supplementary SLRPNK services [complete]
On the weekend of the 11/12th of May the server which runs the XMPP, Movim and Wiki will undergo extended maintenance and will not be available for a few hours. We need to upgrade the main OS and improve some other things.
The main Lemmy service should not or only minimally affected and we will likely migrate the wiki over to that server to make it available more quickly again.
As usual, no exact time frame, but it will likely happen on Saturday or Sunday morning UTC timezone.
Step one was completed, but the main OS upgrade I will probably do this evening instead.
Edit: All complete now, but I found another issue that will need another downtime in the coming weeks. Nothing major though.
Initially I thought of writing a post about my issue and then I saw this one, and thought of asking here. So I noticed yesterday I had a very different visibility on Breadtuve (Solarpunk) when I'm logged in [darkly - left side] and when I'm logged out [light - right side]. Tried a different browser, same visibility. I also did take a look at my settings but no matter what changes I make, the visibility remains like in the following screenshot. If you can point out what I could have messed up or a workaround, please do!
Very likely a language setting issue. Make sure you have at least "undefined" and "English" selected from the list.
Thank you very much for taking the time to reply for this. Did that, saved it, logged in/out, but unfortunately it's still the same.
EDIT: It works!! After doing the above, I went back to settings and after selecting Show Read Posts and saving, all was back to perfect. Thanx for pointing out where to look around.
