US Kingfisher seaplane, Florida, USA, WW2, 1942?

Judging from the waves, it could be 1942.

Okay, so in the background is a Consolidated P2Y seaplane. Those were retired and withdrawn from service in 1941 and sent back to Naval Air Station Pensacola. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consolidated_P2Y

So if it's 1942, then it has to be in Florida at least.

But how do we know if it's 1942?? 😨
