This makes me feel like its the vegetable equivalent of veal.
Why?
veal is a baby cow raised in a crate so it can't move. So its like your taking away any bit of life it might live. Feels the same having a plant raised in darkness.
I miss Germany. The spargel cream soup was amazing. Highly recommend anyone who likes asparagus to try the white version. Yes, your pee will still smell funny.
The Netherlands also has it, it's so delicious!
