Finished this one up last week, it's actually designed by myself as I've been trying to learn a bit more about pixel art and specifically working in isometric. It definitely could've done with being darker under the bench but whatever! Proud of it anyway.
Husband is obsessed with pixel art as a medium and he thinks this is just about the coolest project ever, so it can go on display in his office where I don't have to look at that glaring lack of bench shadow π
Thanks! I stood for ages in the local shop, getting weird looks as I held various shades of green up against the WIP to pick the right ones. Glad that apparently paid off π
I believe some painter said you can go to the paint store, and they have 100 different shades of greens, and not the one you want. So that tracks. And no, I don't remember who that was or googled it properly.
Cross-stitch is completely outside my zone of interests, but I agree with your husband this is absolutely cool. I love the subject matter juxtaposition with style, you didn't go with something impossible in reality.
Fantastic work.
Pixel art is hopefully the skill that is going to come in most useful for my two main loves in life: crafts, and gamedev. So this is encouraging, hah, thanks! π
Thanks :) It's actually (loosely) based on a path near our house that follows the route of what used to be a railway. Irl everything is a bit more grey, but it's still a nice place to sit and make friends with the constant parade of dogs walking by.
