Yep, feeling this now. I was listening to a podcast and they were talking about the whole 8-8-8, 8 hours sleep, 8 hours work, 8 hours play. But that was under the assumption that someone was at home. So really it's like 8 hours of work, 5 hours of sleep, 2 hours of cooking, 2 hours of cleaning, 3 hours of travel, 3 hours of miscellaneous stuff and then 1 hour of play.
I feel ya, that 1 hour of play is not sufficient, then sleep gets impacted causing you to be less productive at work which causes you to work longer hours which reduces play time even more… it’s a vicious cycle
I told my partner that I understood why they just want to play games they play after work. Because man, I just want to sit down and play some Fallout 4.
I'm a shitty shift worker, so if I'm not at work I'm usually asleep (that's not even an exaggeration). It really really sucks, although I recently decided it's time to suck up the financial blow and look for other work.
