I don't suppose any of them were alive during 1860, but perhaps their senility is making them nostalgic... or maybe its always the seniles?
Its maddening isn't it? The same patterns repeat endlessly forever, and nobody lives long enough to see it. So most live unaware the path they are walking has become a trench.
