Is this feature available? If not, when developed, will it be available for only certain instances?

Go to the search and change community from "All" to the community of your choice.
You can also use https://www.search-lemmy.com
It's still relatively new so please raise bug reports on GitHub: https://www.github.com/marsara9/lemmy-search
To search a specific community you can add a filter such as
community:[email protected]to the end of your query.
