Looking for a non subscription based replacement for Goodnotes
With Goodnotes 6 being released, it now is a subscription instead of a flat payment. I am looking for a replacement app that is not subscription based. I have tried onenote and really did not care for it. Notability is one that i have seen suggested, use it a single payment?
I use notion for a lot of stuff. Some people don’t like that it has Ai but I literally have never used it and never interacted with it. I quite frankly forget it’s an option. I like it a lot and there’s a LOT that you can do with it.
If your notes are primarily text, I’d suggest Obsidian. It’s cross-platform (Mac, Windows, iOS, Android, and Linux) and open source. I moved over from OneNote and have been absolutely loving it.
Not looking for an argument just generally curious as to why $20 a year seems like something you really don’t want, especially when the devs are updating it regularly and that they get paid. Seems like a win win for a good product.
Edit: it is unfortunate however they don’t offer a free version to win you over
