A religous couple in Indiana is asking the Supreme Court to hold the state accountable for removing their child from their home after they declined to use his chosen name and pronouns.
And failure to treat their daughter's suicidal tendencies and depression. The fact that they did not approve of their daughter's gender was merely evidence that she couldn't trust them to ask them for help, and caused a rift in their relationship with her.
You'd think after your child is taken away from you, you might finally look inward and realize you're shitty people, maybe try to change. But not these folks! Really explains the whole situation.
The state wasn't "keeping their child from them", the state was protecting a child who didn't want to go back to shitty parents.
