I always hope that there's something good out there I haven't tried yet, just waiting to change my entire life.
...of course, I'm an extremely bi person with ADHD so being open to new things is almost a definition of my personality but every time I meet someone who says they could never enjoy something, I think it speaks to a lack of imagination.
I always hope that there’s something good out there I haven’t tried yet, just waiting to change my entire life.
Is that necessarily a good thing though. As your life progresses that possibility becomes more and more of a bad thing, to the point that if you discover this life changingly good thing when you're 90 years old on your death bed, are you going to be excited about it, or are you going to lement and regret how you spent your entire life without it and now that you have it, you dont have the time and youth to enjoy it properly.
That's a pessimistic view I just can't wrap my head around. I got diagnosed with ADHD at 34 and medication at 35 (took them a long time to convince me to try it) and lemme tell ya. Did I lament all the years I suffered from what I didn't know? Sure! But I'd rather have the ability to move forward with this newfound knowledge and support than continue to suffer what I didn't know!
following OP's logic, conversely, there's probably pussy so bad out there it can turn cis-het men as well. frankly there's an entire galaxy of so good/ so bad it'll turn you X research to be done. to boldly go where no one has gone before....
Or you can take the joke about sailors being stuck without women long enough they get curious so that would boil down to abstinence so long you'll try anything, like a sexual purgatory
