During Chew Shou Zi’s testimony before US lawmakers about the harms of social media on children, he was pressed repeatedly by Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas.

Obviously no one from Singapore has ever worked for a Chinese company or government.

He's not ignorant, he's a demagogue performing for his ignorant base.
I thought I was going crazy, but no this exact guy had almost this exact same conversation with almost the exact same people back in March of last year.
This wasn't just ignorance, this was willful ignorance.
I hate this. We already have problems with the local government constantly painting any attempt at progressivism as a western import etc. This is just going to add fuel to the flame.
