Authorities came to the home of Justice Arthur F. Engoron on the day he was set to hear closing arguments in New York’s suit against Donald Trump. The former president had attacked him on social media.
And yet all these people calling in threats will never face consequences.
Eventually they might.
Our justice system is ridiculously slow, so by the time this stuff goes to court, there's 100 others that have happened.
It might take years before court.
And if Trump wins, they could all be pardoned anyways.
So why is this?
Because in some cases they are coming from out of the country and in other cases the call has been made via VOIP behind multiple proxies and a VPN and is basically untraceable.
In either case, nothing is going to happen in the same week that the crime occurred. It will take that long to investigate & determine if they can even issue a warrant.
The dumbest criminals do get caught.

You can pay a guy in another country to call in bomb threats using an untraceable VoIP number. It could reverb be a foreign adversary doing it just to stir the pot.
Same reason we get so many spam calls and the phone companies won't do anything about it. It could also be the CIA trying to get more privacy invading laws passed by stirring the pot.
If they remain anonymous, then no. If any identifying information can be found, they will bring down the Hammer of Thor. This is one of those things that basically all government types will get behind regardless of political views.
which is why the good guys should be doing the exact same thing. they think they can intimidate us. we should intimidate them.
Right-wing mass shooters get Burger King. Left-wing activists who didn't shoot anybody get murdered in their beds by police.
There's a reason why the good guys can't retaliate in kind to what the bad guys are doing.

The threat came the morning after Mr. Trump again attacked Justice Engoron on Truth Social, his social media site, saying that the judge and the New York attorney general, who brought the fraud case, were trying to “screw me.” And it came just days after the police in Washington were called to the home of the federal judge overseeing Mr. Trump’s election interference case.
Mr. Trump originally planned to speak in his own defense at closing arguments Thursday.
But Justice Engoron said he would have to abide by rules that apply to lawyers giving closing arguments and refrain from delivering a “campaign speech.”
A lawyer for Mr. Trump, Christopher M. Kise, said that the conditions were untenable, and, after unsuccessfully requesting a delay because of his mother-in-law’s death, Mr. Trump appeared to back down from speaking.
