I haven't used Facebook in years, but I still use Twitter because most lefties and furries I follow either haven't moved to Bsky/Mastodon, or have moved but are inactive.
I still have an account on Bsky though, but I don't use it that often.
I recently just cleanly got out of Facebook after a decade.
Deleted all my comments, all my media and all my posts, and left all groups and unfriended everyone, then changed my name and my URL and finally disabled/deleted my account.
I don't miss anything.
I haven't had it for years and I don't miss it at all, either. Only social media I use is Lemmy and Youtube
I haven't used facebook for years, but I do use twitter a lot to check whats happening in my area. Same for instagram, but I am not using thread at all.
I only use Twitter because my kids school refuses to stop using Twitter.
I'm only on Facebook long enough to catch up with older friends and family.
You can follow Twitter accounts from Mastodon.
Interesting, every API tool I've looked at has been shut down. I'm on Mastodon and a perfectly willing to give it a shot. As long as the message gets to me within about three or four minutes it should be fine. How do you do this?

Fair enough. I use Facebook due to certain people only using it (and for the marketplace). I’m a millennial and wa off Facebook for awhile.
