Hey, I am a frog in the south of Aberdeen. Nothing planned for the first time forever. Probably a couple of beers with the wife and a movie with kiddo.

Probably for the best tbh as the engineer scheduled for on call this yr has been off sick and put in another line means I get the joy of on call instead of him.

  I used to be a ssre (snr site reliability engineer) but then my gaffer got a promotion and in his sick final act he made me replace him
- What's your on-call rates like? Worth a sober Hogmanay?

  Yeah, roof is intact at least. But some ingress we can't figure oot, and damp plaster, so something isn't right

Am a Yank not far from the DC capitol. Got my spike shot, and I can still finish a marathon, so I’ll be wading into the fray of tourism, ignorance, and (hopefully) bliss.
- Any big parties in DC for new years eve? I know NY does stuff, but how about the Capitol?
  
  I’ll be going to a section of the city called Adams Morgan after the fireworks, but no specific plans except I would like to walk around with a joint, since it’s legal there now.
