As always, the title of the article is misleading.
It isn't transparent.
They aren't using it to make anything yet, those are all potential uses.
It isn't wood, it's fancy epoxy resin mixed in with cellulose (over simplification). In other words, it's plastic with parts of wood mixed in.
This isn't to say it sucks or anything, it should be great for a wide range of uses eventually. But it ain't there yet.
