The Taiwan Strait separates Taiwan from mainland China, and Beijing claims jurisdiction over the maritime territory. Earlier this month, two US vessels also crossed the waterbody.
Summary
A Canadian warship passed through the Taiwan Strait on Sunday, prompting China to condemn the move as provocative and destabilizing.
Chinese military forces have been deployed to counter the perceived threat.
The passage follows recent crossings by two US vessels, with Taiwan’s defense ministry asserting that the strait remains international waters and a symbol of regional openness.
I'm really intrigued by this, re-education from what? What education do you think I had that I then got re-educated from and why would "western culture" be a part of it?
Edit: Also how did I get into this re-education? Was I forced or did I voluntarily sign up? Please paint me a picture here I'm fascinated by this
I didn't use it at all. I just pointed out that it's only sexist/homophobic if other arrangements are given a pass, while the male-male arrangement is used in a pejorative manner. (On an unrelated note, it's a fun fact that we can now safety assume that you are a male. I'm curious what the male: female ratio is among tankies). If anything, it's the s+m community that should be offended, since the phrase implies that being the sexually submissive partner is inherently bad.
My point is using "gargling balls" as an insult implies its a demeaning act. It follows that (hetero) women and gay men are demeaned by it or that they at least should be ashamed of it. Performing oral sex has long been coded (and used) as showing dominance, with the person performing the act submitting to the domination of the person they are performing it on. To the point that men performing oral sex on women would be seen as effeminate and therefore lesser. This is being used in a s&m context sure, but my point is that it's mainly used to enforce the patriarchy, where women and gay men are seen as lesser.
