There actually is a Sisyphus game that has this. You push a boulder up a hill filled with obstacles and can unlock new skins for the boulder.

I raise you Rock of Ages . The first one is cool, the second game is amazing, with coop n'stuff. It's basically "what if Sisyphus got pissed"
Edit: of course you get different skins for the rock
How did I not know they made a sequel?!
