500kg is wildly unpredictable, I don’t use it for that reason.
I’ve recently been using auto cannon, rocket sentry, explosive crossbow and rail gun. Surprisingly robust
Yeah I stopped using it for a while but picked it up again to deal with Bile Titans when I bring a Flamethrower. Nothing is more disappointing than getting a direct hit and seeing them casually stroll out unscathed.
Iirc (feel free to correct) 500kg damage is a cone upwards from the point of impact the further away from that point the less damage will be taken.
I don't use it because it's wildly unpredictable, if the enemy is just outside of the cone they are totally fine.
I thought the explosive crossbow got needed into oblivion with the ammo changes or whatever. I have been rolling the eruptor and it is pretty good
Still pretty solid for me. Ammo economy becomes important, but running that plus the rail gun gives you a lot of stopping power.
Add in the rocket and auto-cannon sentries and you can take down anything in the game.
