  • I haven't been keeping up with Reddit since the blackout started. But I'm surprised that some subs I frequent are gone. Are mods nuking their subreddits because of Reddit's bullshit? Behind The Bastards and Gaming Circlejerk seem to be missing...

    • AskHistorians is gone until further notice, because the mod team says it’s impossible to moderate to the standard required without third-party tools. I am saddened by this no end

Most big subs are going to be hard to mod if this goes ahead - a basic automod function is third-party functionality that Reddit doesn’t inherently have

      • That is just... wild. That these automod functions require third-party functionality but Reddit mods go "nahh".

Also my mistake subreddits went private not deleted. It just wasn't in my communities so I was confused for a second.

        • The “official” Reddit app WAS third party until they bought it out. They needed someone else to build it, bought it and have barely touched it since they bought it

      • Aww man. That was a great great sub.
