i dont know? i mean my skin isn't white. i have a darker shade complexion than a "white" person. somewhat similar to someone from a med/middle eastern country.
Us census would say Mediterranean and Middle Eastern are white.
White seems to be translating to "those whose ancestors we actually teach about in the west" and then the rest.
So Mexicans are white because Spain decided to force them into history.
We later learned this lesson and rather than invading, we shipped the people over to us for the next big conquest....
my mother is Italian and often gets mistaken for Latin American
Not surprising, since Latin is from Italy.
