Keep it on. Extra armor against torpedoes!
Just need to sort out the propulsion aspects. My NCD consultants say jet engines are a great idea, as they existed in 1944.Catamaran hulls are adjacent, not concentric.
I guess it doesn't matter. What matters is getting giant jets on that dry-dock pronto!
Trimarans don't have concentric hulls either, but yes, let's not lose focus of what's important here: Jets on battleships.
