In which game did you spend the most hours?
  • Idle Wizard 6k+ hours

    NGU Idle nearly 4k hours

    MHR Sunbreak 1k+ hours

    BattleTech 1k+ hours

    MH World 800 hours

Those idle games running in the BG sure racked up the hours. Ran them for more than half a year before I realized I was just wasting power for something senseless.

  • What's your preferred portable dry herb vaporizer?
  • DynaVap and Mighty+. Devices set on the opposite ends of the spectrum: consumption, construction, cost.

Mighty+ is (thermo)plastic but it's a medically-approved device, so no off-gassing and idiot-proof, expensive to buy with high material consumption. DynaVap is a miser with material, cheap to own and hard to master. Best used with an IH (I prefer the Ispire Wand).

They both get me to where I need to be, at different speeds and complexities.

  • [Wristwatches] How a $260 plastic watch pissed off the entire watch community
  • Interesting read, not really into collecting watches but I appreciate beautiful timepieces - and this drama around the MoonSwatch actually piqued my interest in acquiring this watch. I'm liking some of the colorways they're offering. I dabble more with smartwatch watchfaces, but this looks special.

Also understand the drama as people do get too involved in some of their hobbies. I just hope all this has died down and will allow me to look for a Mercury Mission MoonSwatch that's not scalper-priced.

  • What audiobooks are you currently listening
  • Finishing up The Martian by Andy Weir so I can move on to Project Hail Mary. I love the geeky style of his writing as my interests also lie on the technical side. This is actually my first audiobook so I can't really say how good the narration is, but it is keeping me engaged.

    Smart Audiobook Player on Android

  • *Permanently Deleted*
  • For phones: swipes all around, with One Hand Operation + (https://apps.samsung.com/appquery/appDetail.as?appId=com.samsung.android.sidegesturepad) providing other swipe zones on both sides of the screen as well as setting a swipe+hold layer for more customizability. There are settings to tune your experience with swipe detection and other actions, and after a day or two I've already found the functionality they provide to be invaluable. I made my swipes more intentional so no accidental gesture registrations.

Tablets are another thing - swiping on such huge screens are actually less productive. I have the default buttons and the taskbar enabled for easier multitasking on them.

  • What Audiobook player do you use?
  • Officially it's "Voice Audiobook Player", and for people who don't need all the frills and extras like EQ and multi-device syncing it's perfect as it is. Light and very functional.

Smart Audiobook Player is great though, affordable as heck. The 1st month free allows for ample time to gauge if the extra features are worth paying for. I really don't use most of the extras, but I figured it was worth supporting the dev for how good the app turned out to be.

  • Canadian Grand Prix Race Weekend Thread
  • Brundle was honest - he noted how far ahead Max would be if the race was clean without incidents. So in pure race pace that would be at least 10s faster than the next two teams.

I'm all for Alonso this season with his stupendous performance, but Max and RB's package is still the package to beat. AM need to be smarter to beat RB and Merc later into the season. Sucks that Alo's strongest performance yet was hindered by a rear braking issue.

If you wanna see how fast Max is, just compare him vs Checo...
