Mark Rosewater confirms that the Final Fantasy set (and all future UB sets) will have higher MSRP than in-universe sets
  • If you search my mtgzone account name from any other instance it does not appear, only this one.

  • For the love of Jace, can we please get through spoilers for tarkir before we skip onto October’s set?

This gripe is directed at WoTC not OP.

  • Reposting my comment with this account for visibility as it appears my mtgzone account still is not visible outside the instance.

I opened in October 2018, the first set I carried was Rivals of Ixalan. They are still in my system as $3.99/pack. While Lost Caverns of Ixalan, iirc the last set before Play Boosters, is $4.99 for Draft, and $5.99 for set.

There was one official price increase since I opened, but we also had price changes going from Boosters —> Draft/Set —> Play. MSRP for Foundations Play Boosters are $5.25, while Aetherdrift are $5.49. I am guessing Tarkir will be the same as Aetherdrift.

  • "Board games are about to get more expensive" says Arcane Wonders president Robert Geistlinger in talks of publishers on "razor-thin" margins
  • As a retailer, our margins are ever shrinking too. So many of these companies sell on Amazon and in big box stores that slash prices, everyone expects me to have those same bargain basement prices.

  • Introducing Commander Brackets Beta
  • I own an FLGS and run casual commander one night a week. As time goes on everyone’s decks start to get more and more powerful. As the decks creep towards cEDH less and less people come in to play until there is no one for a few weeks. Then we go back to casual and repeat. Now having a defined tier list will help keep decks to 1 & 2 with an occasional 3 and maybe 4 for special events.
