Bowman loses New York primary in blow to progressives
  • This is all right, I’ll just add that Bowman was among the first to call for a ceasefire in Gaza, basically right after Oct 7th happened. A number of large progressive Dems have rallied to his side (including Bernie and AOC this past weekend), which clearly wasn’t enough.

This was also a D primary, so everyone had a D by their name.

Taylor Swift's 'The Eras Tour' Outshines All-Time Record For Concert Movie Debut

The documentary might have also snatched biggest October opening from 2019's "Joker," according to early box office estimates.

The unparalleled enthusiasm helped propel “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” to a massive, first place debut between $95 million and $97 million in North America, AMC Theatres said Sunday

It’s easily the biggest opening for a concert film of all time, and, not accounting for inflation, has made more than the $73 million “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never” earned in 2011. In today’s dollars, that would be around $102 million. And if it comes in on the higher end of projections when totals are released Monday, it could be the biggest October opening ever. The one to beat is “Joker,” which launched to $96.2 million in 2019.

A unique experiment in distribution, premium pricing, star power and loose movie theater etiquette—more dancing and shouting than Star Wars premiere—have made it an undeniable hit.

Compiled from Swift’s summer shows at Southern California’s SoFi Stadium, the film opened in 3,855 North American locations starting with “surprise” Thursday evening previews. Those showtimes helped boost its opening day sum to $39 million – the second biggest ever for October, behind “Joker’s” $39.3 million.

Piper Laurie, Oscar-nominated 'Carrie' actress, dies at 91

The star played Carrie's controlling, dangerously religious mother in the classic 1976 horror film based on the Stephen King novel.

Piper Laurie, the actress best known for her roles in Carrie, Twin Peaks, and The Hustler, has died. She was 91.

The three-time Oscar nominee's manager, Marion Rosenberg, confirmed the news to EW on Saturday, describing Laurie as "one of the most remarkable and versatile actresses of her day, a brilliant and creative mind, and a glorious human being."

Born in Detroit in 1932, Rosetta Jacobs changed her name after landing a contract with Universal Pictures as a teen in 1949. The following year, she made her big-screen debut in the Ronald Reagan–fronted comedy Louisa. Laurie continued to find onscreen success over the next five years, starring alongside fellow Hollywood greats like Rock Hudson in 1952's Has Anybody Seen My Gal, Tyrone Power in 1953's The Mississippi Gambler, and Tony Curtis in 1954's Johnny Dark.

Feeling stifled by her roles in Hollywood, Laurie traded in the Golden State for the Big Apple, settling down in New York City to explore work in television and theater. However, she was drawn back to the City of Angels by an offer to star as pool shark Eddie Felson's (Paul Newman) girlfriend Sarah Packard in the Academy Award–winning 1961 drama The Hustler, which earned Laurie her first Oscar nomination.

Laurie would not appear in another film until 1976, when she transformed into Margaret White, the domineering religious fanatic mother of young Carrie (Sissy Spacek) in the horror film Carrie, based on the novel by Stephen King. Her terrifying performance in the Brian De Palma classic not only secured Laurie a place in the annals of horror history, but also her second Oscar nomination.

EW critic Owen Gleiberman praised Laurie's Carrie performance in 2013, describing her as "a woman who asserts the force of 'goodness' with so much tyrannical passion that she turns it into evil," and noting the incredible chemistry between her and Spacek.

"The weirdest thing about Carrie is that it has a built-in dimension of camp and kitsch, with Piper Laurie as a kind of fire-and-brimstone Mommie Dearest, yet the way that Laurie's towering psycho-diva acting plays off Sissy Spacek's trembly, forlorn, so-vulnerable-it's-almost-naked performance is the opposite of kitsch," he wrote. "No horror film I can think of has such a molten emotional core."

Laurie would appear on the silver screen and on television over the next decade, receiving her third and final Oscar nomination for her role in the 1986 drama Children of a Lesser God. She won an Emmy award that same year for her performance in the television film Promise.

In addition to starring in Carrie, Laurie is also beloved for her performance as Catherine Martell in Mark Frost and David Lynch's cult-classic television series Twin Peaks, for which she won a Golden Globe in 1991.

She continued to star in spotlight roles on popular television series throughout the years like Frasier, Will & Grace, ER, Touched by an Angel, and MacGyver. She made her final onscreen performance as a grandmother in the Matthew McConaughey–led film White Boy Rick in 2018.

Mark Goddard, 'Lost in Space' actor, dies at 87

"There's a part of me that envisions him having a martini in heaven right now," former costar Bill Mumy wrote in a remembrance.

Mark Goddard, the actor best known for playing the irascible pilot Don West on the 1960s CBS sci-fi series Lost in Space, died Tuesday in Hingham, Mass., at 87.

His wife, Evelyn Pezzulich, confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter.

Born Charles Harvey Goddard, the actor began his career in the late 1950s with series roles on the Western Johnny Ringo and the crime drama The Detectives.

His signature role came in 1965 with Lost in Space, which followed the Robinson family — father John Robinson (Guy Williams), mother Maureen (June Lockhart), and children Judy (Marta Kristen), Penny (Angela Cartwright), and Will (Billy Mumy) — along with Don and a trusty robot, as they searched for a way to return to Earth after being left adrift in space by an act of sabotage. The show ran for three seasons, from 1965 to 1968.

Mumy paid homage to his late costar Friday on Facebook, remembering Goddard as a "truly beloved friend and brother to me for 59 years."

"The last words we exchanged were 'I love you,'" Mumy wrote, adding, "Mark was a truly fine actor. Naturally gifted as well as trained. I know he sometimes felt constricted by the campy frame that LIS constrained him within, but he also embraced and loved it… There's a part of me that envisions him having a martini in heaven right now with Jonathan Harris, Kevin Burns, Guy Williams, and other comrades who left this world of woe before him. There's a part of me that believes he's in a better place now. A much better place."

Goddard, Lockhart, Cartwright, and Kristen also made a memorable cameo in the 1998 film adaptation of Lost in Space, which starred Matt LeBlanc as Don West.

Goddard's other television credits included Perry Mason, Gunsmoke, The Bill Dana Show, The Beverly Hillbillies, Barnaby Jones, The Fall Guy, General Hospital, and One Life to Live. His film credits included The Monkey's Uncle, A Rage to Live, The Love-Ins, Blue Sunshine, and Overnight Sensation.

Amber Heard Claims Jason Momoa Was Drunk and Cosplaying Johnny Depp on 'Aquaman' Set

New court documents include Heard’s claims to a therapist that her ‘Aquaman’ costar arrived “drunk” and “late on set,” which DC Studios denies

New allegations from the Amber Heard and Johnny Depp defamation case are coming to light about Jason Momoa’s alleged behavior on the set of Aquaman.

According to court documents released last month and obtained by Variety, Heard, 37, described her costar as “drunk” and “late on set” in notes taken by clinical and forensic psychologist Dr. Dawn Hughes, who was brought on by Heard's legal team to testify.

Hughes’ notes further state that Heard claimed Momoa, 44, arriving on the set of the DC Studios superhero film “dressing like” her ex Depp, wearing “all the rings.”

In a statement to PEOPLE, DC Studios said, "Jason Momoa conducted himself in a professional manner at all times on the set of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. We're excited for audiences to see the film this December."

Last year’s defamation trial in Virginia began when Depp, 60, sued his ex-wife for defamation over a 2018 op-ed she wrote that included abuse allegations. After the Pirates of the Caribbean actor won three claims and Heard won one of her three counterclaims, she paid him a $1 million settlement.

During their lengthy legal back-and-forth, Heard testified that her role as Mera in the upcoming Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom had become "very pared down" amid the public attention on her personal life. The franchise’s director James Wan said last month that her character was never intended to be a major part of the sequel.

"I fought really hard to stay in the movie," Heard testified. “They didn't want to include me in the film.”

"I was given a script and then given new versions of the script that had taken away scenes,” she added. “They basically took a bunch out of my role. They just removed a bunch out.”

Walter Hamada, then-president of DC Films at Warner Bros., testified in court that there were discussions among producers about a "lack of chemistry" between Heard and Momoa, and that her defamation trial had no impact on the size of her role in the franchise’s second installment. "The character's involvement in the story was what it was from the beginning," he said of Mera.

Heard's talent agent Jessica Kovacevic then testified that she believed the attention the actress received during her televised trial opposite Depp had negatively impacted her career.

Billy Ray Cyrus Marries Australian Musician Firerose in a 'Perfect, Ethereal Celebration of Love'

Singer-songwriter Firerose and Cyrus first sparked engagement chatter when she posted a photo wearing a diamond on her ring finger last September

Billy Ray Cyrus has cured his achy breaky heart!

After a yearlong engagement, the country crooner tied the knot with his fiancée, Australian musician Firerose, on Tuesday, Oct. 10. The newlyweds announced their happy news in a joint statement posted to Instagram on Wednesday.

"10/10/23 will always be the beautiful, joyous day that our two souls united as one in holy matrimony," they wrote. "It was the most perfect, ethereal celebration of love we could have ever imagined."

The couple continued, "For both of us to hear the preacher say, 'Billy Ray and Firerose Cyrus . . . I now pronounce you husband and wife' that was the sacred moment our new forever began. Long Live Love!"

Billy Ray and Firerose's message was accompanied by a trio of photos from their wedding day. In the first snap, the country singer, wearing a Versace tuxedo, pressed a kiss to the side of his bride's forehead as she faced the camera wearing a white Laura Rudovic wedding gown with lace detailing. Additionally, Firerose also held a bouquet of autumnal orange flowers.

Subsequent photos showed the two sitting on the ground outdoors surrounded by nature, and standing close together with their wedding rings on display.

Firerose and Billy Ray first sparked engagement rumors when she posted a photo wearing a diamond on her ring finger on Sept. 13, 2022. It was later revealed that Billy had proposed the month before.

Billy Ray connected with Firerose in 2021 after teaming up for a musical collaboration together. In August of last year, Firerose seemingly confirmed her relationship with "The Ready, Set, Don't Go" singer via a birthday post.

"The world is a better place with you in it. Happy Birthday Billy❤️," Firerose captioned a photo of the two of them together.

According to Billy Ray, he met Firerose 12 years ago, when he was on the set of the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana in Los Angeles. "I loved doing that show," he remembered. "There's a couple old pine trees on the lot that look like Tennessee. [My late German Shepherd] Tex and I would go out there in the middle of the day and he'd take care of his business and we'd stretch and I'd think how much I missed Tennessee. On that given day, Firerose came out of the front door. There was almost a moment of, I don't know, recognition. I was like, 'This girl's a star.' "

That fateful day, Firerose came over to say hi to Tex. "She told me she'd had an audition and I said, ‘Well, I'm sure you got the job.’ ”

The two kept in touch over the years, even becoming musical collaborators.

In the summer of 2022, Firerose moved to Billy Ray's Franklin, Tennessee, farm, where his then-ailing mother Ruth Ann Casto was also living. That August, Billy Ray proposed.

"It was really just this moment where Billy looked at me and said 'Do you wanna marry me?' He didn't get down on one knee or anything," Firerose revealed of the country singer's proposal. "He said, 'I love you. I wanna make this official. I wanna be with you forever.'"

Later, Firerose picked out a diamond and designed her own ring, an 18k white gold engagement ring, featuring a round brilliant cut diamond with a center stone, held by a 4-prong V Head Center diamond accented with additional round diamonds.

Prior to his relationship with Firerose, Billy was previously married to Tish Cyrus from 1993 to 2022 and the former couple shares five children: daughters Miley, Noah, and Brandi, and sons Trace and Braison.

‘Moonlighting’ Creator Says Bruce Willis Is ‘Still Bruce’ Despite Being Non-Verbal in Dementia Battle

‘Moonlighting’ creator Glenn Gordon Caron detailed his recent visits with Bruce Willis as the actor’s dementia progresses

'Moonlighting' Creator Gives Bruce Willis Dementia Update

Moonlighting creator Glenn Gordon Caron has been making a point to visit Bruce Willis as much as possible as the actor’s frontotemporal dementia progresses.

“My sense is the first one to three minutes [into my visit] he knows who I am,” Caron, 69, told the New York Post of Willis, 68, on Wednesday, October 11. “He’s not totally verbal; he used to be a voracious reader — he didn’t want anyone to know that — and he’s not reading now. All those language skills are no longer available to him, and yet he’s still Bruce.”

Caron, who worked with Willis on Moonlighting from 1985 to 1989, noted that he still catches glimpses of the actor he knew decades ago. (Willis played David Addison Jr. alongside Cybill Shepherd’s Maddie Hayes on the Emmy-winning series.)

“When you’re with him you know that he’s Bruce and you’re grateful that he’s there,” Caron explained, adding, “but the joie de vivre is gone.”

Willis’ family announced in March 2022 that he would be stepping away from acting after being diagnosed with the language disorder aphasia. In February, Willis’ ex-wife, Demi Moore, revealed that the Six Sense actor’s diagnosis had been updated to include frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD), for which there is no treatment.

Throughout his health battle, Moore, 60, has been vocal about her support for Willis, whom she was married to from 1987 to 1998. The exes’ three daughters, Rumer, 35, Scout, 32, and Tallulah Willis, 29, have also been there to help their father as much as possible.

Bruce’s inner circle also includes his wife, Emma Heming Willis, whom he wed in 2009, and their two daughters, Mabel, 11, and Evelyn, 9. Last month, Heming Willis, 45, gave fans an update on her husband’s condition in honor of World Frontotemporal Dementia Awareness Week.

“What I’m learning is that dementia is hard. It’s hard on the person diagnosed,” she shared on the September 25 episode of the Today show. “It’s also hard on the family, and that is no different for Bruce or myself or our girls. When they say that this is a family disease, it really is.”

Heming Willis explained that it feels like a “blessing and [a] curse” to know Bruce’s official diagnosis because she can “finally understand what was happening so that I can be into the acceptance of what is.”

She noted that despite his declining health, Bruce is the “gift that keeps on giving” for his loved ones. “There’s so many beautiful things happening in our lives. It’s just really important for me to look up from the grief and the sadness so that I can see what is happening around us,” Heming Willis added. “And Bruce would really want us to be in the joy of what is. He would really want that for me and my family.”

Caron, for his part, revealed on Wednesday that he has been keeping Bruce in the loop while working on getting Moonlight onto Hulu. “I know he’s really happy that the show is going to be available for people, even though he can’t tell me that,” Caron told The Post. “When I got to spend time with him we talked about it and I know he’s excited.”

The filmmaker shared that he has “tried very hard to stay” in Bruce’s life over the years and that hasn’t changed.

“He’s an extraordinary person. The thing that makes [his disease] so mind-blowing is [that] if you’ve ever spent time with Bruce Willis, there is no one who had any more joie de vivre than he,” Caron continued. “He loved life and … just adored waking up every morning and trying to live life to its fullest. So the idea that he now sees life through a screen door, if you will, makes very little sense. He’s really an amazing guy.”

Jada Pinkett Smith dropped a major revelation about her relationship with Will Smith, saying the couple have been separated for seven years and 'live separately' from each other.

Jada Pinkett Smith says she and Will Smith separated in 2016

"I think we were both stuck in our fantasy of what we thought the other person should be."

Jada Pinkett Smith just made a shocking revelation about her relationship with Oscar-winning actor Will Smith.

In a new interview with Today's Hoda Kotb pegged to her upcoming memoir, Worthy, the Matrix and Girls Trip actress said she and her husband separated in 2016 and "live separately" from each other, despite putting on a public image that they have been a unified couple since they married in 1997.

"Why it fractured? That's a lot of things, and I think by the time we got to 2016, we were just exhausted with trying," Pinkett Smith said during the interview. "I think we were both stuck in our fantasy of what we thought the other person should be."

Kotb pressed Pinkett Smith on why she kept the separation a secret, and the actress admitted that it came down to the pair "not being ready yet" and "still trying to figure out between the two of us how to be in partnership" with each other in terms of how they presented to the public. "We hadn't figured that out," she said.

At one point, Pinkett Smith said she considered a legal divorce but couldn't go through with it. "I made a promise that there will never be a reason for us to get a divorce. We will work through whatever," she said. "I just haven't been able to break that promise."

Representatives for Will Smith, who was not present during Pinkett Smith's interview, did not immediately respond to EW's request for comment.

News of the couple's separation adds another layer of complexity to the headline-making moments from their time together, including when Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock on stage at the 2022 Oscars after he made a joke about Pinkett Smith's shaved head, the result of her alopecia.

Pinkett Smith also made a shocking revelation in 2020, claiming on her Red Table Talk show that she and recording artist August Alsina had an "entanglement" — long before she revealed that she'd separated from Smith.

Pinkett Smith and Smith have two children together, actor Jaden Smith and musician Willow Smith.

The actress also revealed the first thing she said to Smith when they were alone after the moment he hit Chris Rock on stage at the 2022 Academy Awards.

The moment Will Smith shocked the world by slapping Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars ceremony initially came off as "a skit" to Jada Pinkett Smith.

In a interview published Wednesday amid her bombshell revelation that she separated from Smith in 2016 — six years before the 94th Academy Awards — the Set It Off actress has given an official reaction to the controversial incident for the first time.

"I thought, 'This is a skit,'" she told PEOPLE in an interview tied to her new memoir, Worthy, roughly 18 months after Smith approached Rock during the live telecast and hit him in the face after he made a joke about Pinkett Smith's shaved head, the result of her alopecia. "I was like, 'There's no way that Will hit him.' It wasn't until Will started to walk back to his chair that I even realized it wasn't a skit."

Pinkett Smith also recalled the first words she said to Smith when they were alone afterwards that night: She said she asked him, "Are you okay?"

She continued, "I'm going to be by his side, but also allow him to have to figure this out for himself."

Amid fallout from the slap, Smith was permitted to keep his Best Actor statuette, which he won later that night for his performance in King Richard, though he was banned from attending Academy-related events for 10 years.

He eventually addressed the incident in a video later that year as well as in a November 2022 interview with Trevor Noah on The Daily Show, while Pinkett Smith called for Smith and Rock to "reconcile" on an episode of her Red Table Talk show.

"That was a horrific night, as you can imagine," Smith told Noah. "There are many nuances and complexities to it. But, at the end of the day, I lost it, and I guess what I would say, you just never know what somebody's going through, you know?"

He continued, "I was going through something that night. Not that that justifies my behavior at all. You're asking, what did I learn? It's that we've just gotta be nice to each other, man. It's hard. I guess the thing that was most painful for me is, I took my hard and made it hard for other people. I understood the idea of when they say hurt people hurt people."

Pinkett Smith's remarks follow a major development in the timeline of her relationship with Smith, whom she married in 1997. The Matrix and Girls Trip star revealed to Today that the couple, who share two children, Jaden and Willow, separated in 2016 and have lived separate lives for nearly seven years.

"Why it fractured? That's a lot of things, and I think by the time we got to 2016, we were just exhausted with trying," Pinkett Smith told Hoda Kotb during the conversation. "I think we were both stuck in our fantasy of what we thought the other person should be."

Representatives for Will Smith did not immediately respond to EW's request for comment.

www.usmagazine.com Jeremy Allen White Agrees to Alcohol Testing 5 Times a Week

Jeremy Allen White and estranged wife Addison Timlin share daughters Ezer Billie and Dolores Wild, whom they welcomed in 2018 and 2020, respectively

Jeremy Allen White Agrees to Alcohol Testing 5 Times a Week

Jeremy Allen White will undergo alcohol testing as part of his joint custody agreement with estranged wife Addison Timlin.

According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, White and Timlin, both 32, ultimately agreed that joint custody was their “shared goal.” As a result, The Bear actor will be tested for alcohol five times a week when caring for daughters Ezer, 4, and Dolores, 2. The latest agreement began October 2, with White passing all of his previous tests dating back to August.

If White receives a positive test or becomes noncompliant with the terms of his custodial arrangement, his time will be “terminated” until the next steps are determined, per the docs. If a test finds alcohol in White’s system, the actor will retest 15 minutes later to confirm the results. Retesting is done to confirm if the positive result was from an alcoholic beverage or due to accidental exposure to a product like mouthwash.

In addition to testing, White also agreed to attend individual therapy once a week and at least two weekly Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.

Us confirmed in May that Timlin filed for divorce from White after more than three years of marriage. After news broke of their split, Timlin opened up about caring for her two young girls on her own.

“Being a single mom is not how I pictured it. It is so f—king hard. It is all out covered in s—t crying on the floor kick you in the shins screaming with no sound coming out hard,” Timlin wrote via Instagram at the time, alongside a series of throwback photos of herself and her two children. “It’s not the natural order of things. It can be exhausting but more than anything it can just be so lonely. When something magical happens and you have to tell yourself ‘don’t forget this’ because there’s no witness by your side.”

Eagle-eyed social media users later noticed that Timlin edited her caption to say “co-parent” instead of “single mom.” Since the post, Timlin and White have been spotted putting on a united front for their little ones as they attended their kid’s soccer games and were photographed sharing a hug.

“They’re committed to being loving coparents,” a source exclusively told Us in August before addressing photos of Timlin and White at their daughter’s soccer game. “People took that out of context.”

Former Food Network star and celebrity chef Michael Chiarello has died at the age of 61.

Chiarello died on Saturday, October 7 in Napa, California, according to Variety. He was being treated at Queen of the Valley Medical Center for an acute allergic reaction that led to anaphylactic shock, his company Gruppo Chiarello wrote in a statement.

“We deeply mourn the loss of our beloved patriarch Michael,” the statement read. “His culinary brilliance, boundless creativity, and unwavering commitment to family were at the core of his being. He brought people together through the joy of shared meals, fostering lasting memories around the table.”

The statement continued: “As we navigate this profound loss, we hold dear the moments we cherished with him, both in his kitchens and in our hearts. His legacy will forever live on in the love he poured into every dish and the passion he instilled in all of us to savor life’s flavors.”

Born in Red Bluff, California, Chiarello had a prominent presence on the Food Network. Chiarello served as a judge on Top Chef and Top Chef Masters as well as participated in Next Iron Chef competition in 2011. Easy Entertaining With Michael Chiarello, his own cooking show, had a 10-season run on the Food Network.

Through the years, he hosted shows on PBS, Food Network, Fine Living and Cooking Channel as well as made guest appearances on the Today show and The View.

In 1985, he was named Chef of the Year from Food & Wine magazine. Two years later, he opened his first restaurant, Tra Vigne, in Napa Valley.

A decade later, he received the Culinary Institute of America’s Chef of the Year Award. He also went on to open two other restaurants in Napa Valley — Bottega and Ottimo — as well as Coqueta in both Napa Valley and San Francisco’s Pier 5. He created Chiarello Family Vineyards in 1999.

In 2016, Chiarello was accused of sexual harassment by two of his employees at Coqueta. The lawsuits were settled the following year, according to SF Gate.

“Chef Michael Chiarello’s passion for food and life will forever be etched in our kitchens and our hearts. While we mourn Michael’s passing, we also celebrate his legacy that continues with his restaurants, Bottega, Coqueta (San Francisco and Napa Valley), and Ottimo,” his partners in Gruppo Chiarello said. “In remembrance, we ask that you join us in celebrating his remarkable journey and the incredible impact he had on the world of food, wine, and family by inviting you to share a meal with your family and friends to remind all of us that the bonds forged over a meal are among life’s most precious treasures.”

Will Ferrell crashes USC frat party as a guest DJ

Ferrell was at his alma mater for Family Weekend at USC where his son is a sophomore.

Will Ferrell got the party started at the University of Southern California, crashing a frat party to DJ for the kids in a scene reminiscent of his 2003 hit Old School.

Ferrell was caught on video via TikTok amping up the crowd to Jay-Z and Kanye West's "N----s in Paris" and Survivor's immoral "Eye of the Tiger."

The Barbie actor was the DJ at a Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity tailgate party ahead of the football game against the University of Arizona Wildcats during Trojan Family Weekend.

Unlike Old School, Ferrell wasn't at USC trying to recapture former glory but his eldest child Magnus is a sophomore there. Ferrell himself graduated from USC in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in sports information.

He returned to his alma mater in 2017 to deliver the commencement speech. The following year he contributed to funding the first-ever full scholarship for the women's soccer team with wife Viveca Paulin.

In his new song 'Another Late Night,' Drake calls out the 'weirdos' in his comments who weighed in on his friendship with 'Stranger Things' star Millie Bobby Brown.

Drake defends friendship with Millie Bobby Brown from 'weirdos'

The rapper drew criticism in 2018 after Brown, then 14, revealed they'd been texting.

Drake is finally responding to the backlash to his friendship with Millie Bobby Brown.

In "Another Late Night," a song off his new album, For All the Dogs, the Canadian rapper name-drops the Stranger Things star, whom he befriended when she was 14 and new to child stardom. Back in 2018, the revelation of their friendship made headlines, with criticism directed at Drake because of their age gap (he was 31 at the time). While he had no response then, he is now firing back at detractors with something to say.

"Weirdos in my comments talkin' 'bout some Millie Bobby, look / Bring them jokes up to the gang, we get to really flockin'," Drake raps on the track, which features Lil Yachty. "Or send a finger to your mama in some FedEx boxes / Open up that s---, it's jaw-droppin', really shockin', ayy."

News of Drake and Brown's connection came in 2018 when Brown revealed in an interview with Access Hollywood that Drake had become a mentor, offering her advice about fame and boys.

"I love him. I met him in Australia and he's honestly so fantastic — a great friend and a great role model," she said. "We just texted each other the other day. He was like, 'I miss you so much.' I was like, 'I miss you more.'"

She declined to get specific about the advice Drake gave her, saying only, "That stays in the text messages," but she later defended their relationship in a note on her Instagram story, writing, "Why u gotta make a lovely friendship ur headline? U guys are weird…"

She continued, "I'm lucky to have people in the business extend their time to help me further my career and offer their wisdom and guidance. I'm very blessed to have amazing people in my life. U don't get to choose that for me. It's nice to have people who understand what I do. Now get back to talking about real problems in this world other than my friendships… jeez."

"Another Late Night" is one of 23 tracks on Drake's just-released eighth studio album, which features collabs with SZA, Bad Bunny, 21 Savage, J. Cole, and more. During the latest episode of his SiriusXM series, Table for One, which dropped the same day as the album, the rapper revealed that he plans to take a break from the studio.

"I got some other things I need to do for some other people that I made promises to, but I probably won't make music for a little bit," he said. "I'm gonna be real with you."

Alluding to issues he's been having with his stomach but not getting into details about it, Drake explained his desire "to focus on my health first and foremost" and said he would share updates "soon enough."

21 Savage Appears with Drake on Stage in Canada After Being Denied Entry

21 Savage took Canada by storm Saturday night at Drake's jam-packed performance -- one day after he was barred from entering the country.

The rapper hit the stage with Drake at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto last evening, marking the first time he was legally permitted to travel outside the United States.

TMZ got video of Drake cutting off some guy holding a mic to announce 21's dramatic arrival on stage. 21 gave Drake a huge hug as the crowd went absolutely wild.

As you know, 21 just got his Green Card after years of haggling in the courts following his 2019 arrest in Georgia that led to drug and gun possession charges.

At the time, 21 was a UK citizen living in the U.S. with an expired visa, putting him in the crosshairs of American immigration authorities.

Fast forward to Friday night. 21 was supposed to be at Drake's side during the concert, but he was denied entry into Canada, although it's not clear why.

Yet, 21 was able to iron out his immigration issues and Canadian officials opened the doors so he could make it to the arena Saturday.

The current status of 21's criminal case in Atlanta was not immediately available

Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez Settle Their Divorce

News of the pair's separation broke in July.

Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez are officially divorced. ET has learned that the 30-year-old singer has settled her divorce from the 28-year-old real estate agent, more than two months after news of their separation broke.

Grande and Gomez had a prenup, and, as the latter is getting a payout there is no spousal support, ET has learned.

According to TMZ, who was first to report the news, Gomez will receive $1,250,000 tax-free and half of the net proceeds from the sale his and Grande's L.A. home. Additionally, according to the outlet, Grande will pay up to $25,000 of Gomez's attorney's fees.

In July, a source confirmed to ET that Grande and Gomez had called it quits after two years of marriage. Then, two months later, both Grande and Gomez officially filed for divorce.

Grande cited "irreconcilable differences" in her divorce filing, and listed Feb. 20 as her and Gomez's date of separation.

Amid her split, Grande began dating her Wicked co-star, Ethan Slater, who is going through his own divorce from Lilly Jay.

"Ethan is trying to be as amicable as possible with Lilly as he navigates his next steps. He wants to be the best dad he can be, regardless of the current circumstances," a source told ET. "He is taking things day by day and trying to keep his private life private, out of respect for everyone involved."

The same source said of Grande, "She's trying to give Ethan some space as he figures everything out, [but] their relationship is still progressing."

As for Gomez, a source told ET, "He is dating a little bit and a lot of girls are giving Dalton attention. He is not completely over his relationship with Ariana, but he is doing his best to move forward."
