What's a good alternative calendar app for Android that isn't Outlook or Google Calendar?
  • I absolutely swear by Business Calendar 2. It's the only calendar I found so far that has the option for a timeline view in the month view rather than just list out the events for each day. My previous work required me to work all hours of the day causing my sleep schedule to be all over the place. so this feature was the absolute must have for me since I needed to be able to look at the month view to see which shift I would be working, which days I'll have social events with family/friends so I can coordinate my sleeps accordingly.

There's also a quick toggle for each calendar on each View so you can easily look at events for a specific group/calendar. You can group separate calendars/tasks into the same group. You can also customize each widget to show only specific calendars/task lists only. I've been using this probably for the past 10 years ever since Business Calendar 1 and it is worth absolutely every penny.

  • Remote start via voice?
  • Easiest way is to enable Restore on AC/Power Loss if your bios has that feature and use a wifi plug to do a power cycle whenever you want to start it. I believe this would also works even if the computer is powered off.

  • Is there a way to filter out NSFW?
  • All of the instances I looked at have option to block all nsfw contents within your profile settings. I think you can also block specific community/user . But i don't know if there's an option to block a whole instance.

  • *Permanently Deleted*
  • I'm on the T-Mobile main network so my information might not be the most up to date on the MVNOs. But as far as I'm aware no significant changes was made to Metro or Boost Mobile besides minor rate changes.

So you're probably looking at the same thing with Mint mobile. I don't think they'll consolidate Mint mobile under one of the other brands though since T-mobile current have both Metro and Boost and other MVNOs under the T-mobile umbrella.
