They could mentor. That is quasi parenting to a certain extent. However, a person's ultimate purpose is to glorify God. They can accomplish that in a wide variety of ways.
Federation with Mastodon
I can follow some exploding-heads user accounts on Mastodon but not others. Why is that? Is there some individual per user setting that governs whether accounts can be followed in Mastodon?

I tried to create a community but it didn't work. I filled in all the fields and pushed the creat button but nothing happened. What am I doing wrong? Must I be granted some permission for this?
How does this instance interface with Kbin.social?
I have been trying to crosspost from here to kbin.social and everything appears to proceed as expected on this instance but the posts never seem to show up on kbin.social.
I can't seem to follow your community from Lemmy but I can follow it from Kbin and Mastodon. Strange.
