Just ran out of money at the time and couldn't afford to keep it up. I probably only had less than twenty sales, but it was so awesome to get emails from customers talking about how they were so pumped to get to experience music more intentionally again, and the nostalgia factor is pretty unbeatable on old iPods.
If you've got the spare time and funds to do it, I know retro tech is just growing in demand lately, so you'll probably be able to find enough customers to make it worth your while 👍🏻 and it's just damn fun to do!
I used to run an iPod refurbishing business. I really enjoyed putting Elna Silmic II caps, CF cards, extra batteries, and custom HPF's into an assortment of ipods, mainly minis, but also some first/second gen.
