You're welcome and I didn't make the connection at first either, I doubt a lot of us newer people have.
Well, Yes but not here. The fediverse doesn't have to follow the same domain extension standards people are used to with websites hosted on centralized servers in various countries. Spin up an instance of your own and you can choose whatever extension you want and they chose one as shorthand for Marxist-Leninist. They're not shy about it, Dessalines even has essays on communism hosted on their github.
They were on lemmy.ml from the start. Take a guess at what the "ml" stands for.
They're also testing stuff
The kbin.social instance may experience intermittent interruptions or temporary slowdowns over the next few days. We want to test certain things that are only visible at a larger scale. This will benefit all other instances as all findings will be thoroughly described and shared.
There's a block button next to the subscribe button on kbin.
At first I thought you were simply missing the point and could persuaded but you actually want them to have their symbols, you want those symbols to represent their hate. You are a part of the problem and you clearly want to be. Have a good day and leave me alone because I'm done wasting my time on someone that thinks these symbols have to represent hate and actually wants them to represent hate.
You're proving my point about how hate groups only have their symbols because we let them.
Why would we want to adopt a symbol that is even loosely associated with nationalism
To change what it implies, to change what it's associated with, to change what it symbolizes. These things imply, are associated with and symbolize only what we let them; it's not an inherent quality of them, it's an assigned quality and letting hate groups have and define their symbols allows them to identify and organize more easily and it emboldens them, especially in regards to national flags because they can point to it and say "That's ours, we own it and it represents our values. See it flying everywhere? That's because we own this nation, we're the one's in charge here, not you". How could that not enable their hate?

Bummer but good to know. I suppose steam changed how things work cause when I was using it, it gave a direct download link though there was still some games it wouldn't be able to find mods for.
I've got this one bookmarked, https://steamworkshopdownloader.io/ . I haven't used it in a long time so I don't know if it's still good or works.
I've got two on lemmy, I originally signed up on beehaw because it was the one I seen recommended but I wasn't sure how long it'd take to be approved so I signed up on lemmy.one when it started. Then I started hearing about all their tankie bullshit and seeing some of it and nope'd the fuck out. That's when I came to kbin.social and haven't logged back into the lemmy accounts. I still subscribe to stuff on lemmy instances because I don't want to isolate myself in an echo chamber but I don't want to actually be on it.
I also have a mastodon account but I'm not really a fan of the twitter format so I haven't used it.
That's because we let them have it, along with all the other symbols of hate they have. The moment the right takes a hold of something, progressives for the most part go all M.C. Hammer on it and say "we can't touch this". We're literally enabling the hate we're trying to fight by allowing it to have symbols because it empowers that hate and that's why they don't want the Pride flag flying next to the American flag, because it dilutes their perceived control over it.
