Steam Next Fest, what demo's are you playing?
  • I'm very much looking forward to trying The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood

  • Why everything became a subscription - Evil Businesses
  • Everything-as-a-Service can fuck right off. I remember seeing Adobe do it and just getting a sinking feeling, knowing that many others will do the same.

I will actively avoid/pirate/exploit anything that tries forcing me into a subscription.

"You will own nothing and be happy." The fuck I will.

  • ...what's with the "rule" posts?
  • My knowledge of reddit lore isn't deep enough to dispute that but I just wanted to say that you have an excellent username.

  • On Track To Being The Hottest Summer Ever
  • Same energy as The Onion reposting their "'No Way to Prevent This,' Says Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens" article.

Pretty sure this will be the case every year unless shot changes.

  • Scientists Know More Than They Say
  • I don't think climate scientists are the ones suppressing it.

  • ...what's with the "rule" posts?
  • It's the posters stating that they're posting to obey the rule of those communities. Something along the lines of having to post an image from your device if you end up browsing there.

  • Is there a short name for "Lemmy Community"?
  • I'd say cummies for the extra cringe factor.

  • Welcome to c/Python!
  • I don't know, I just got here.

Here being only just starting to learn python. And also this community too.

  • What are some meta or self-deprecating SCPs like this?

[HN] Reddit CEO tells employees that subreddit blackout ‘will pass’
  • It will indeed pass, but hopefully it's just the equivalent of someone nudging a snowball down a hill. I hope more and more users concerned with quality will move to other services, and then reddit gets left with trash.

Hopefully it stays around to a degree because there is still a lot of valuable information on it. I ended up on there this morning, troubleshooting some emulator problems.

  • Just in case ducks aren't allowed here, I also created Casual UK (with Ducks)
  • Is criticism of the royal family allowed here/withducks or is it also run by bootlickers?
