It was more to point out that speculators are more trading paper monero, than getting it in spot to withdraw it But yes we still have their perps after delisting they wants to censor buying it
I mean, all theses swaps going on "non-custodial" exchanges, their volume are not tracked. they probably represents a lot of transactions involved in circular economies. 600k tx in February while theres less volume isnt make sense
It was a personal opinion to add, I have no problem with people downvoting 😁
For people downvoting, have fun keeping paper monero exchanges deciding of the price, because the actual volume isn't shown. (My own opinion on that topic)
Hidden-volume
By looking on coingecko, you can notice a volume declining over the years and I might identified the issue, that could be seen as an iceberg.
Visible level : Spot/Perp/DEX prices
Deep level (not tracked) : crypto-swap exchange, localmonero or atomicswaps
Theres a looot of volume not tracked in the deep level, since a monero user is most likely using these ways (just look the last bad new it was a "nokyc" swap)
How this can be solved ?
Bisq only if you want to affect the price, sadly localmonero prices are not tracked by Coinmarketcap or coingecko and I think it should but idk how
It haves no effect because primexbt is not allowing XMR deposits/withdrawals or spot markets. Just a leverage platform
It's not respecting their cryptocurrency standards because it's nor a rugpull or a meme coin :(
Binance is over leveraging on their perpetuals volume (160% vol. of the market)
Binance is doing leverage ? Or speculators leveraged the bounce on Binance (still not really delisted until the 20 Feb). These people (if they can be reached) should more be advised to trade in spot, on places where they can actually withdraw funds to use them.
Contains a video tutorial to run SamouraiSwaps, an AtomicSwap User Interface based on COMIT. CoinJoin-ing deposited UTXOs for swapping is highly advised (tutorial here [https://monero.im/post/4328])
(Crosspost)
Coingecko is doing it, not coinmarketcap
How to add incentive for a KYC'ed-CEX exode with Monero ?
Theres a lot of spot-markets like tradeogre who popped out of nowhere, it should be used as an advantage to give more usage to Monero.
- Trade a crypto anonymously for speculators:
Buy XMR, withdraw to a wallet, deposit & sell for your crypto.
A quick list of known exchanges:
- TradeOgre
- Sevenseas
- FinanceX
- NonKYC.io
- Xeggex
These are CENTRALIZED & CUSTODIAL EXCHANGES. I vouch nothing Sure the day serai haveno comes out, it'll be a priority to them.
Fund the Tor network by exchanging cryptos ?
We're running a poll to know, if people would like to test intercambio for funding the Tor network, just by swapping cryptos at the lowest rate.
Monero price tracking question
Following delistings, Monero will need to also decentralize it's price tracking. How can the monero price can be known in a decentralized way ? Like aggregating DEX prices in a oracle ? Or fetching directly DEX public peers ?
Added, do you know if theres hyperlinks on matrix ? (just to make it better on the post)
I added an edit but with an other account, thanks for showing interest !
Thanks, i'll add a matrix category
Yes the directory is very old, I added new things but forgot to remove discontinued sites (going to do)

I know helium is a ponzi and Lora haves a low throughput, it was more for inspirations on something could be made on monero with maybe an other protocol and without token counterpart (HNT)
You guys know Helium network ?
Yes I know that's a crypto unrelated to Monero, but their idea can inspire a way to host and sell LoRa access in Monero, with a peer-to-peer layer or something like that 🤔
That would be a great standard, for a primal NoKYC and parallel access to the internet, just put Tor on the top ect..
Toughts on this ?
Idk it but if the seed is pre-wrote, you shouldn't trust it. If they were storing private keys somewhere then it's no more a cold-wallet.
For EVMs never reuse an address, always move funds to a new sub-account. Do the less smart contract interaction and use no tokens (only ETH moves). Why not intercambio swaps to Monero
And why being off-topic, when you can reply on older posts or contacting me in private message..
Theres not only trocador aggregating exchanges, but you think so because you only are in Monero so I can understand what you meant, while confirming I dont said that about them. If I couldn't understood what you said, I dont have other ways theres no hostility.
And yes i'm known, not claiming to have did big things or idk what, but yes i'm known to be devoted for making monero known or trying to suggest things (like everybody does).
It's just something leaved if someone is interested to do it, theres no dead-time or idk what, the cloudflare js beacon is not used on the hidden-service as said in comments you quoted. And to end I did or said nothing to trocador, I try to be friendly when talking to you, but you're honestly tiring.
Bot idea for micro-blogging platforms: freeze interactions on-chain
I was thinking about that because stable-coins can be freezed and we see that everyday.
What if we have a bot tracking all freeze interactions ? By posting: > XXX (amount) $XXX (ticker) should have gone trough #Monero $XMR.

GRIN was actually a cool thing fairly rant so I dont trash them but the market made it's choice. An other problem with GRIN is the lack of RingSignatures to hide the past because MWEB more acts as scalability
The free market is actually ditching GRIN, DASH & ZCash for Monero

Tired to search everytime an exchange to swap Monero ?
Intercambio.app is a privacy-focused no-KYC crytpocurrency exchange aggregator. Intercambio doesn't require JavaScript or an account and is also available through a Tor v3 hidden service and a I2P eepsite.
Hi guys, I run intercambio with OrangeFren and I wanted to do a very full presentation.
Intercambio is an exchange aggregator
If you're tired to find liquidity providers, our front-end is doing it for you. Put an amount to swap and a monero address to receive, we will display the swap and sourcing it.
Intercambio is an exchange aggregator like many others, but focused on privacy
We do everything to keep users anonymous:
- A Tor & I2P hidden-service access, without logging (IP, user-agent ect..) or JavaScript (the clearnet access is protected by Cloudflare so be sure to use the hidden services for this feature). !Image
- Never KYC filter, to ensure no KYC procedures because selected exchanges will not
We're also doing good user experience and swap features.
We're trying to mix privacy with utility and a easy-to-use interface:
- Providing multi-hop swaps. If you can't find a swap from a crypto to an other, we will split the swap (For example: ETH on BNB ➡️ LTC ➡️ XMR).
- A Trade tab is available if you're running bulk swaps to follow their status. !Image
We're featured on a lot of places !
We donate to projects building for privacy
- Our donation to tails.net
We need .torrent releases for binary files
This was asked many times and never got considered to distribute monero code:
- Releasing .torrent files with known public trackers for clearnet and I2P.
This will consume less bandwith (even optimizing delivery if people around you are seeding) and still preventing against unavailability of files due to a disruption of the site.
"But with torrents people need to use VPNs or they are tracked" that's why I2P supports torrenting.
Run a monero node with the CLI
This is very simple.
- Get the monero-cli binaries.
- Unzip and go inside the directory before opening a terminal session.
./monerod --rpc-bind-ip 127.0.0.1 --data-dir /directory/you/choose
.
This will run a monero node, the RPC will be accessible on 127.0.0.1:18081 and the blockchain location where you specified before.
If you want to make the RPC accessible from outside your local network, follow this tutorial
Monero based multisig escrow
##### XMRTrade is the first non-custodial escrow as a service based on the Monero blockchain and the SimpleXChat network to fullfill a complete anonymity of our service. #### What is “non-custodial” ? - It means this service, is not possessing or holding your funds. we'll try to come with a website in the future. feel free to vouch and test us
XMRTrades - A Monero non-custodial escrow to secure any P2P Trade.
XMRTrade is the first non-custodial escrow as a service based on the Monero blockchain and the SimpleXChat network to fullfill a complete anonymity of our service.
What is "non-custodial" ?
- It means this service, is not possessing or holding your funds. It's impossible for the service, to exit-scam or steal funds locked in the escrow.
How is it possible ?
- We use a multisig monero wallet.
What is a multisig Monero wallet ?
A multisig wallet is a wallet, on wich you need a specific number of keys to unlock funds.
Why this service needs and use this ?
In a escrow case (this service) it's a 2/3 signature (minimum of 2 keys needed to unlock the funds):
- 🔑 The key of the service.
- 🔑 Your key.
- 🔑 The key of the user you're transacting.
If the transaction if legit ? (no-scam from yourself or the user)
- The escrow haves nothing to do.
You and the user are signing the "unlock" transaction, one just broadcast the transaction and everything is done.
If a dispute appears (scam from you or the user):
Both parts will need to prove to the escrow, their full legitimacy to get the escrow signature, otherwise funds will remain locked by the mandatory escrow key (as seen before), or the escrow will unlock funds because one part was a scamming, while the other were fully legitimate.
How do I make a Monero MultiSignature wallet ?
- By following this tutorial
How all of this is coordinated ?
Once you contacted and paid us the management fee of the escrow, we will create a private chat group link (signed with the obitor's PGP key) with us, you and the other user, with who you're transacting to setup the multisig.
What's the escrow fees pricing ?
Fees are priced in Monero, to ensure the easiness of the service, and being mandatory paid before setting up the monero multisig the minimum amount we can secure is from 1 XMR:
- 5% ≤ 1 XMR trade amount
- 2% ≤ 5 XMR trade amount
- 1% ≤ 10 XMR trade amount

Make a monero wallet with the CLI. on Linux
This tutorial will show you how to:
- Run monero-wallet-cli.
- Generate a wallet securely, by adding entropy to ensure the private-key randomness.
- Backup, Restore a wallet.
- Connect our wallet to a monero node over Tor.
Step 1 - Get the monero software
- Go to the official monero website | Tor hidden-service.
- Download the CLI for your architecture. And verify the checksum of the archive with the PGP signature (follow this guide if you don't know PGP).
- Extract the archive, go inside the directory and open a terminal window.
Step 2 - Run monero-wallet-cli
Let's run monero-wallet-cli by typing:
$ ./monero-wallet-cli
The software will directly ask you the wallet filename to open or typing a name to create a new one. In our case we just close the software.
Step 3 - Create a new wallet:
We will do it offline and by generating it with our own entropy, by rolling a dice in the real life.
3.1 Making our own entropy
It's very easy. Create a new file, roll a dice and write results in. More you rolled your dice more the seed generation will be randomized.
3.2 Generate the wallet
Save the file and now, let's run our wallet offline, while specifying the filename entropy, for this wallet generation:
$ ./monero-wallet-cli --offline --generate-new-wallet <name-of-the-new-wallet> --extra-entropy <entropy-filename>
The wallet's console will ask you a password, the seed mnemonic words language and you now can exit the wallet after you wrote the displayed words on something safe.
Step 4 - Restore the wallet
Simple specify you want to restore a seed and the mnemonic language you choose when generating a new wallet
$ ./monerod --generate-new-wallet <name-of-the-new-wallet> --restore-from-seed --mnemonic-language <lang>
Mention the seed and the password you want when it's prompted and the wallet will be restored.
Step 5 - Open a wallet
Mention the filename (+ the directory if needed) of your wallet when running monero-wallet-cli.
$ ./monero-wallet-cli --wallet-file <(/directory/)filename>
Put the password when its prompted and you'll be on your wallet.
Step 6 - Connect the wallet to a node over Tor.
Mention the SOCKS proxy wanted (Tor in our case, follow this guide if needed), deactivate DNS requests since you're connecting to a hidden-service, mention the RPC's hidden-service and mention if the RPC is trusted or not. If you don't host the RPC you're going to connect to, put untrusted. Why not mentioning the wallet file.
$ ./monero-wallet-cli --wallet-file <filename> --proxy 127.0.0.1:9050 --no-dns --daemon-address xxxxx.onion:port --(un)trusted-daemon
Step 7 - Generate a new address
address new
2 (the index number of the sub-address) 86WR4xz5zmR7JXSmMtt5hucYMwKCUmnFz2nHN5xagVGoX6s3T5UKwZYJK2USYeFZvFCSYRdivVSszVpJeBYmyUrb239edhy (Untitled address)
To see all your generated address, do:

Step 8 - Transfer funds
We're going to send funds to the previously generated address
