I've been using this for several months and I really like it. I have absolutely no idea how to close it though, so I have to kill the terminal.
I totally agree. Some of the most brilliant programmers alive use VSCode. Building my Neovim config has made me a better programmer, but I'm still a chimp with a waffle next to someone like JT.
I haven't used it but you might be interested in stylix. I think once it's setup it will automatically theme a lot of these apps for you.
It's not problematic for me unless there is text or something with lots of contrast behind it. I used to play videos behind when I was on Plasma. The bold text helps a lot.
I've been boycotting mine for years.

This neovim config is build with nixvim.
Yeah, btrfs is awesome and it's easy to use with NixOS as well. The rollback mechanics are different in that Nix isn't actually rolling back it's just rebuilding a previous revision (commit) of the config.
If the audio is out of sync in your files you can use ffmpeg to fix them.
I've been using NixOS for over a year and I can't imagine using anything else. I originally started using it because I liked the idea of version controlling the entire configuration, but now I use it for everything.
The most underrated feature of Nix is being able to instantly roll back an update that breaks something that you don't want to deal with. An update breaks kitty or neovim? If I have something to do I can just roll back and fix it later. Awesome.
It's not for everyone. I can't imagine someone who isn't at least a hobbyist programmer having the desire to overcome the technical nature of it.
Heres my config.
You can install Nix on arch to try it out without changing your OS.
I use dunst
on X but it works on wayland too. It just listens to dbus and should be trivial to get set up.
There is an open issue already for some time. Hopefully with the new user influx this gets more attention. Certain communities, like sports, feel incomplete without flairs.
