  • This is all from the perspective of the United States.

    Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering is secondary education major. A lot of shitheel level zero techs call themselves some variation of [Systems/Network/Computer/Service Desk/Consulting] Engineer.

    Computer Engineering is a cross between computer science and electrical engineering studies. In accredited computer engineering courses or schools you may be required to take the fundamentals of engineering exam to receive a diploma. Upon passing the FE exam, you are eligible to study under a professionally licensed engineer for 5 years before you can apply and test to become a professional engineer yourself.

    But, yeah, it's usually what you said.
