The EHIC doesn't cover things like a mountain rescue or being flown back to the your home country i.e. the most expensive and potentially life-ruining things, so travel insurance is still a good idea.
Totally understand this is the best possible option. I hope things eventually progress to a stable point where multiple large instances are employing anti-spam and moderation while being connected to each other. At the moment the Lemmyverse is becoming quite fragmented and it'll confuse users when they can't participate in certain communities because of it.
I sometimes boot up Curse of Monkey Island. It was my first proper adventure game. The voice acting, dialogue, music and art is still charming to this day.
I don't really care if the blackout works or not. Either way Reddit is going to die, the only difference is how quickly. I'm just happy it introduced me to Lemmy which is much closer to the kind of experience I wanted anyway.
