Cherry chair I made awhile ago. Finish is Osmo PolyX.
That looks really good. Do you have any pictures of the drawers?
I'll have to give it a try. David J Marks used to have a woodworking TV show that I would watch when I was starting out and he used it for everything.
Looks really good. How do you like the tung oil?
Thank you. This was a test for a couple projects I had upcoming. I was going to be adding the maloof joints to a desk and the weaving to a set of stools. After weaving this I decided not to do the stools. It was way more work than I anticipated. I did finish the desk, unfortunately I didn't take any pictures.

Small birdseye maple and wenge dovetailed box I made about six months ago. This was my first attempt at a wooden hinge.
I used to sell stuff but had to many bad experiences with buyers so now I just give stuff away to friends and family. I don't have a spot for this so I'll probably give it away as well.
I have been doing it as a hobby for about 20 years or so.
Its hard to say because I picked away at it between a couple other projects. Just guessing, maybe 15 hours at the most.
No, it was actually pretty simple and didn't take that long. It looks complex because of the curves but if you draw out a full sized template then it's pretty easy.
Walnut desk I just finished.

Walnut desk with Osmo Polyx.
If you are focusing on hand tools then I would say the following items are not always thought about, but indispensable once you use them.
- Shooting board
- Plane stop for your bench
- Cheap white candles (for your plane soles)
- Binding tape (better than masking tape for taping joints)
- Accu-Burr burnishing rod

Raised dog bed made out of ash with maloof joints for the legs. I have a blanket and dog pillow that sits on top for added comfort.
Are you primarily a hand tool woodworker? For the first fifteen years or so I avoided hand tools like the plague. Over the last five years I have been moving more towards hand tools and I find I enjoy woodworking a lot more.
Thank you. Inlaid dovetails are my favourite joint.

Now that we have grown to over 400 people and it looks like this might take off we should start looking at what kind of forum we want this to turn into. We will obviously have the usual rules about harassment and inappropriate comments, but beyond that I think everyone should have a say.
A few questions to get people thinking:
- How broad of a forum do we want? Do we want to allow topics that show house framing or projects made only on a laser cutter?
- Do we lock posts that contain sensitive topics from comments like guns, religion, flags? If so what is the lock list?
- Do we allow self promotion posts from individuals trying to sell their items? If so do we limit the number of posts they can make?
- Do we allow posts from companies as long as they are labelled as such?
- Should there be a process to remove a mod or the magazine owner if the community is not happy with them? What would that look like?
- What other rules should we add or not add?
That's more impressive than you think! Plywood can be really difficult to dovetail by hand.

I made this mountain shelf about three years ago when they were all the rage. It's made out of walnut, ambrosia maple, and paduak. I can't remember what finish I used, but it was some sort of wipe on finish and I was not impressed with it.

Walnut and ash TV console I made a few months ago. Finish is Osmo Polyx and not nearly as yellow as it looks in the pictures. Must be my lighting or something.
I don't think the API cost will kill reddit but I think that this is the first of many changes coming to try and boost revenue. I have a feeling that old.reddit is next and then probably a lot more ads. It'll be the culmination of all the changes, each one frustrating different groups of users.

I'm going to try and add a project a day for a bit so that when people stop by the magazine isn't empty.
I built this cabinet awhile ago after doing a couple small kumiko test pieces. The case is made of ash and the kumiko is basswood and bloodwood. Finish is Osmo Polyx.
