Are you ready for 'Terrifier 3'? In theaters October 25, 2024!
  • If I remember correctly in the trailer is no concept of a storyline, the acting was terrible and the bits shown were just around women panicking. It was just the trailer and it is just my opinion but it gave me bad vibes and didn't sit right. I checked out some reviews and it seems to affirm that - though reviews do tend to be "the best ever" or "the worst ever".

I was once recommended a Japanese horror film that was way too far, and I think that's made me a little cautious now!

  • I watched the trailer, as a friend was recommending the series, and honestly just from that I was put off. I enjoy a good gory horror film but these just appear to hit so many bad levels. It felt like the director just seemed to hate women or something.

  • [Crossposting. Some nice recommendations] Scary movie recommendations?
  • Yeah got to agree with the predictability of some bits. The weird, awkwardly and tense parts make up for it at least.

Apparently there are more in the Creep series, but I’ve not watched them - I feel like the format probably doesn’t work so well after seeing it play out once

  • Late reply, but excellent, I'm glad you enjoyed it. It was pretty much my top film choice before Talk to Me pipped it!

  • Dropping another a couple others on this list: Last Shift and Creep, ones to watch without seeing a trailer.

  • +1 for “Talk to me” it is one of my favourites now, a very well executed story.

  • It seems to have very similar vibes to Blood and Honey. Drop in some drinking game rules, might be worth it!

  • Does anyone recommend the grinch film? I thought the trailer made it look terrible, so was put off watching when it released initially.

  • The time is now! Start your download!
  • Hitting 60mbps without any real fluctuations on two machines - seems like Steam have amole throughput.

  • Invincible and Walking Dead get new board games inspired by Hellboy (well, sort of)
  • I picked this up today, played a few rounds, its a great little game and I think it’ll replace zombie dice for me.

  • I made my own copy of Yinsh
  • I’ve never heard of this before but reading up on it, it sounds like a really tactical game! Loving the multi-coloured print job, you’ve done really well with it.

  • Baldur's Gate 3?
  • Can confirm, just bought it and its running without a problem on a 1080TI, it just works 👍

  • After reading this post a few days back, I was inspired to get some Ghee and try it out. Absolutely delicious, thank you @[email protected]!

  • Or maybe the lemmy source code should include a canonical tag to the original host’s post?

  • Would it be a better idea to exclude any URLs that are similar to /c/*@*.* I think that would block external communities but keep local ones still indexable in their native locations.

  • The Hellboy variant looks like a nice little tweak to the Zombie Dice game. I think I’ll pick that one up, thanks for sharing!

  • Wireguard over TCP (linuxserver docker)
  • For my setup, I used UDP port 443. For the vast majority of situations it works well as TCP 443 is for secure internet traffic. It seems admins often blanket 443 port open regardless of protocol 🙃

  • RudderStack - An Open-Source alternative to Google Tag Manager
  • Yeah exactly that 👍 It's a self hosted web analytics platform but also has Tag Management available via a first party plugin. It is very comparable to GTM and if you have some frontend JavaScript knowledge it has everything you'd reasonably need I think.

  • Suggestions for simple card game
  • By card game, is that with a standard deck? Or something custom like “Monopoly Deal” which is one of my favourite card games!

  • RudderStack - An Open-Source alternative to Google Tag Manager
  • This seems quite similar to Segment’s offering. Matomo (formerly Piwik) have a self hosted tag management system that could be slightly closer to Google Tag Manager configuration for anyone who is looking for a like for like replacement.

They also have a mature and self hosted analytics package too.

  • Is there a reliable way to find out keycap sizes?

I have a DURGOD Hades 68 keyboard that I’d love to spruce up with some custom caps. However, I’m not sure where to start with making sure a cap set will fit my board.

I’d really appreciate some advice on how to figure it out? Searching online hasn’t been that fruitful - or I’m not asking the right questions!

Are there any recommended stores for ISO layouts too?
