Man, that one happy moment was great though!
Actually I discovered that it's the illuminati activating a temporal imbalance, causing the same 72 hours to repeat itself until
Is it only a matter of signing up via VPN or is there more to it?
Same, but I figure I can check in once in a while on the few subreddits that I'm interested in. Some of the subreddits also have a presens on discord, so that could also be an option.
As personally being somewhere between a stoic, rationalist and emotionally-roller-coasterist, I don't think the "rationalists" you describe deserve to be called rationalists. I know the type, they're the one whose always right, because they're unable to see that they could be wrong. Not a big deal, just wanted to point out that rationalists are supposed to consider their emotions as well as logic. I think a better term for them would be pseudorationalists. Similar to pseudoscience vs science.
Anyway. I really like what you're trying to build here. Being nice to one another is such a basic and easy thing to do. Yet it amazes me how many people aren't able to do that on other sites. Not sure how active I'll be here, but I hope I can add something positive.
Someone told me that dfyx is a kind and gentle soul and sticks to the issue. Not sure if true, but many people are saying it.
That makes a lot of sense!
Aye, I'm using Jerboa and the searching is a bit unpolished. You can find communities here though: https://browse.feddit.de/
I'm pretty sure you're safe from Candlejack in the fediverse, after all it's
That sounds really useful! Could you give me some pointers to where I should begin to learn?
I'm exaggerating a bit, I think Lemmy still is "too complicated" for a lot of Reddit users, and that will keep Reddit alive. It'll be difficult for users to stop using reddit when they can't find a equivalent super obscure community on Lemmy.
I'll probably end up lurking on reddit for a while still..
Wow, there's so many new things to play with! Never heard of PeerTube before, but excited about the idea of a federated YouTube challenger!
And it looks like there's no shorts on PT? Awesome!
Same, heard about lemmy, matrix and mastodon before, but never tried to figure it out before the current death of Reddit.
You're right, I'll try. I enjoy reading, but often get overwhelmed with trying to respond, so I end up just giving up and not finishing my
Get rid off all the trolls, bots and shills. I know that's nearly an impossible task, but I'm tired of seeing the same thing posted five times a month, good content getting hidden and people arguing for the sake of arguing.
I hope he'll end up in an actual jail, but if he ever gets sentenced, I imagine it'll be house arrest at Mar a Lago. He'll keep living a comfortable life, just with somewhat limited freedom. His kids will continue his grifting empire and make sure daddy is able to keep influencing people.
Been using Firefox since it came out 18 years ago. Tried a few others for a bit, but always ended up back with the fox. Using it on all my computers and devices. Tried all kinds of plug-ins, currently using ublock, no-script, privacy badger, bloody vikings!, Bitwarden and.. I guess that's more or less it.
I do have to use Edge a bit for work, just because of some systems that doesn't really work on Firefox and I don't want to use Chrome.
