I had so much time during this month; it was pretty quiet, so I dug crazy into coding.

My wife also had much free time, so we started polishing and adding new features!

Just a recap: Postiz is a social media scheduling tool supporting 14 social media channels:

Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Reddit, LinkedIn, X, Threads, BlueSky, Mastodon, YouTube, Pinterest, Dribbble, Slack, and Discord.

Here are some of the new stuff!

• Public API is now available for open-source use!
• Better uploading \- Decreases the quality of the pictures on the client side to save storage.
• Internal Plugs \- Now, when you post a post for LinkedIn or X, you can choose other connected accounts to repost it!
• Polishing \- minor things, like moving the close button, for better display of pictures.
• Crucial bug fixes \- for example, LinkedIn used to connect if you connect to another LinkedIn channel.
• Generate a picture with AI - After you write each post, you can generate an AI picture with DALL-E with one click.
• Hosted version only: Got an agent to create posts; it will be reflected later in the open-source also
• Duplicate post
• Quick post creation for the next time slot.
• Preview posts and send it to a customer.
• Drag a picture into the editor, or paste a picture into the editor will upload it :)
• Added "Emojies," underline, and bold to the editor.
• Long posts for X: it detects if you are a verified user and lets you write long posts.

It's been a fantastic month!

I can't wait to see what will happen this year!

P.S Tried to implement Lemmy, I think there is a bug there with the API, it's literally not working.

There's been tons of interest in Postiz. It's super exciting but also challenging—around 5-10 tickets per day (without a support team 😿), mainly coming from Portainer, Coolify, and Unraid—and I still haven't figured out how to solve it.

I need to balance shipping and customer support.

Tons of new features since the latest release:

• Option to add stories to Instagram and tag people for collaboration.
• Customer separation - you can group accounts per customer, and when you schedule, you can filter by customer.
• Option to tag companies on LinkedIn (I wanted to tag people also, but it was not possible)
• Fixes for different social media posts failing.
• Introducing Plugs! This is a concept you can find in other tools that can boost your engagement for your current posts. Here are some examples:
  • Once your post reaches X amount of likes, repost it (to regain visibility to it)
  • Once your post reaches X amount of likes, add another message to it (all your existing commenters will get a notification)

What's next:

• Public API - I have been too lazy to make it, I have to push more :)
• One Inbox - so you can reply to all your messages from one place.
• Google My Business provider
• AI Agents - I am still trying to figure out what to do with it, but it looks interesting.

I have been working on mostly bug fixes lately and improving the platforms, some of the latest things:

• Many failures of posting on small things like character limit or uploading size.

• Fix problems in LinkedIn not loading pages.

• Team invite was fixed :)

• A bunch of docker changes to make it super easy to load. It's now live on: Coolify, Ptah soon Cloudron

**But the most important thing in the roadmap here is what I was mainly asked: **

• Add and an option to schedule stories on Instagram and add music to them

• Public API

• YouTube community posts schedule

• Google Business schedule

• Auto Plugs (I'm super excited about this one): Once tweets get X likes, they will auto-repost, add comments to tweets, and so on; this will be sent to all social media.

• SSO

• I am happy to hear about more requests.

One clarification after seeing many comments over and self-hosted: Postiz will always be apache-2, no weird dual license thingy, and no enterprise-only SSO.

Postiz is not making much money. Today we are on a product hunt. If you can help me out, it would be amazing, but if not, I love you anyway :)

• Schedule for nine social media platforms (Threads, Pinterest, Facebook, TikTok, Reddit, LinkedIn, Dribbble, YouTube, Instagram.)

• Fundamental analytics for almost all social media platforms.

• AI Features: Copilots, AI Auto-complete, Canva-like editor.

• Team support: Invite your team members to manage social media.

• Generic Email Provider & Easier installation experience (drop the default Resend and add a nodemailer option!)

• There are lots of improvements for the docker / docker-compose. It's much easier to deploy everything!

• Added Bluesky, Mastodon, Slack and Discord channels!

• Add multiple options for upload files (locally / R2) - working on S3.

• Improve the refresh token mechanism (even for more complicated ones like Facebook and Instagram)

• Invite to a team has significant fixes but will be refactored.

What's next:

• Postiz is a company run by one person and contributors. Accessing all the support tickets (especially installation) is difficult, so I will focus all my efforts on making installation easier.

• Productivity - many things feel bad when posting, like selecting multiple images and pasting images directly into the editor.

• Basic SSO for the self-hosters, and more advanced ones like Azure AD and Okta for the enterprise.

• Public API (unfortunately, I decided to make this feature paid; I need to make money somehow :/ )

• Tagging brands on Instagram

• Segmenting accounts into customers

• Tagging people on multiple platforms

• Tagging posts for easier searches

• Auto-plug features, like automatic repost / retweet.
