Trump vows to prosecute Google for showing 'bad' stories on him
  • And then Vance is President? I'm not sure that's better, all the same horrible views, somewhat more coherent, has no idea how a human behaves, is on the record that if he'd been Pence he'd have helped with the coup

  • A meme very specific to one of my current ongoing campaigns, presented with 0 context
  • One player would take lines she found funny and put them in one of those super flowey fonts over a fitting image. A couple I particularly remember

"I know how capes work okay? I'm a bear"

"He almost dies, but then he chooses not to"

"Is anyone a heavy sleeper?" "Yeah, I am." "But you're an Elf?" "Yeah"

  • Seriously.
  • Celsius and Fahrenheit agree on -40, but since they're scales that scale at different rates there's bound to be some value where they intersect rather than some meaningful number like Kelvin and Rankine being zeroed to Absolute Zero

  • Trump's rambling is getting worse | His speech is becoming harder and harder to understand.
  • He was never in remotely good mental health, but he's gone from "in the deep end of a pool, and he can't swim" to "In the middle of the Pacific Ocean (in an electric boat, and there's a shark nearby)" with how quickly he's declining

  • ‘I’m trying to make it’: Jimmy Carter’s goal is to vote for Kamala Harris
  • Depends on the state. Looks like Carter is registered in Georgia. According to an article from 2020 when Republicans were bald face lying that long dead people were voting a lot, someone from the Georgia Secretary of State's office is quoted as saying secrecy rules don't allow rejecting a ballot when a voter dies before Election Day.

“You can’t go back and get that ballot back out. It’s just physically impossible, given the privacy rules in our state,”. May or may not still be accurate, or may have never been accurate, but that's what the first article I found when searching says.

  • Got tired of rating tires
  • Similarly, the Guinness of the beer and the Guinness of the book of records are the same Guinness. Michelin started as a tire company when there were only approximately 4000 cars in all of France, their home country, and started the restaurant guide as a way of increasing demand for travel, and therefore cars, and therefore tires for cars. Guinness the brewery started the list of records as something to keep on hand to settle arguments in pubs

  • ISPs seeking government handouts try to avoid offering low-cost broadband
  • Can confirm, my ISP is fiber out in a rural area, run by the rural electric company from a couple counties over and it's pretty decent. Not top of the line stuff, offers either 100 megabit or 1 gigabit symmetrical for a home plan, but it's much better than the fixed point wireless that was the best previous option and maxed out at 100 down/20 up for the highest tier plan, and that was only if you could get clear line of sight to the transmitter (Would sometimes go down if it was raining hard or it was windy or something as something could block line of sight or misalign the transmitter/receiver on one end of the connection or the other)

  • Gay Republican leader shocked to find his fellow conservatives calling him a pedophile
  • I mean, the Republican nominee for president is a proud pedophile. Can't be considered a bad thing if dear leader has admitted he sexually assaults anyone he finds attractive, and that he also has the same tastes as his best friend Jeff with them being "on the younger side"

  • Joe Biden ends election campaign and endorses Kamala Harris to be new nominee
  • Let's say Biden steps down, Harris becomes President now. Then a Vice President needs to be nominated by her and accepted by both Houses of Congress to fill that role. You think the MAGAs in the House will approve of anyone remotely reasonable? So there's no Vice President, no one to break ties if they happen in the Senate, and Speaker of the House Johnson is next in line, putting a big incentive for the terrorist party to take her out to get one of their own at the top.

  • Maybe we should all be calling him Terry.
  • Hell, may even be no reason. I know of people who have been going by the nickname form or whatever forever and genuinely don't associate the original with themselves. Like a Jim who will be like "who the fuck is James, is there a new guy?" or whatever if they see their "proper" name written down.

  • Donald Trump Regular Client of Jeffrey Epstein According to Leaked Memo
  • I do wonder if anyone who goes on about how all pedophiles need to be shot have objected to the recent incident. That's (probably) not the reason it happened, but he's been very open about the fact that he sexually assaults anyone he finds attractive and that he had the same tastes as his best friend Jeff, making sure to mention they're "on the younger side" as a "wink wink nudge nudge, I'm so clever no one will see through this code"

  • Elon Musk says SpaceX HQ officially moving to Texas, blames new CA trans student privacy law
  • Musk should likely have all his storage media searched, just randomly accusing people of things like pedophilia for no reason is often projection, "don't look at me, I clearly can't be one as I'm the most vocal about being against them, look over here instead" or whatever

  • Biden says America 'must not go down this road' after Trump assassination attempt
  • Point of note, child rapist and convicted felon Donald Trump specifically will likely be able to vote. Florida law is that felons convicted in other states follow the law of that state for if a felon is allowed to vote. New York law is that only incarcerated felons lose their vote. So unless he's sentenced to prison and the sentence starts before November he'll be able to vote in Florida without any additional special treatment
