Mostly a programmer.

Implementing #ActivityPub in the #Go programming language.

Current projects:

\* #GoActivityPub - a library to use ActivityPub in Go.

\* #FedBOX - a generic ActivityPub service supporting the client to server API.

\* #brutalinks - a link aggregator inspired by (old) reddit, hacker news and lobste.rs built on top of FedBOX.

\* #oni - a single user ActivityPub server with minimal fuss.

My posts are mostly related to ActivityPub and web development.

  • @ernest I see you posting more and more about community management and server/service maintenance than coding on the project.

How do you deal with doing both: a maintainer for a project and a community manager ?

I was trying to push people interested in #BrutaLinks in starting their own instances instead of using mine, and seeing how nobody took me up on that, it feels like it's the losing strategy. :D

  • question for the [#lemmy](https://universeodon.com/tags/lemmy) users and [#activitypub](https://universeodon.com/tags/activitypub) developers out there:
  • @jessel what does "support groups natively" mean to you ?

There are Group objects in the ActivityPub vocabulary already.

Posting to a group is already covered by well trodden interactions.

With a little charity with regards to the interpretation of some other vocabulary activities we can say that joining/leaving a group are also there.

What more do you think is needed?
