People outside the US, how do you feel US expats or exiles would do in your country or region?
  • I never thought about it before, but I agree - you can start a conversion by complaining.

Living in Poland all my life, I also would like to mention it feels really safe here (as a white male, so...).

Unless you're into football, or low quality clubbing you'll be hard to find violent crime. Domestic violence and related murders do happen, but you'll be hard pressed to get yourself mugged or assaulted these days.

You can pay by card or via app (blik) nearly anywhere, small village shop, street produce vendor, food truck, anywhere. If they don't want your card they are probably doing some tax fraud, or are bad at finding low card payment fees.

TL;DR: I've travelled a bit, and I really don't think I'd rather live anywhere else.

  • How do you do to install Drupal 11 on debian?
  • Did the 8.3 replace official repo 8.2 or does it use different naming for php binaries? The config files might be separate too.

Try using phpinfo() to check your working config. You can just place a file with the function in the root of your webserver and it should work.

It seems like the memory allowance is too low for drupal to load.

  • Unreliable samba transfers - common issue?
  • I don't know if samba has any error checking built in, so it may be even down to wonky network.

I would try doing a copy using rsync or ssh (sftp - you can use dolphin for that too), and see if that helps.

  • Japan is building a self-driving transport corridor to automate cargo transport between Tokyo and Osaka and wants to extend the system to the whole country.
  • My dad is a trucker and he's the one loading and unloading the cargo, plus he's the one guarding it and being liable for it.

There's a long way before an automated truck drives up to a loading bay and anyone will touch it. (Or wont touch it in case loading bays get automated too).
